Compost demonstration sites
Would your group or organisation like to have one?

Common Cause is running a project to help initiate the set up of new compost demonstration sites in East Sussex. The aim is to provide an educational resource which will help increase the numbers of people successfully composting, thus reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.

There are a number of benefits to groups setting up sites, including

  • Providing an educational and training resource
  • Full funding can be applied for
  • Possible new job opportunities
  • Increases what existing sites have to offer
  • Increases links to local community
  • Own compost produced for use on site
  • Beneficial to wildlife

We can offer free advice on the steps needed to set up a site,
assessment of sites for suitability, and funding streams.
